Vhong charges Roxanne, Deniece
TV host/actor Ferdinand ‘Vhong’ Navarro and his lawyers filed separate cases of perjury against the camp of former beauty contestant Roxanne Cabanero and Deniece Millinette Cornejo et al. at the Pasig City and Manila Prosecutor’s offices respectively yesterday afternoon.
Both Camanero and Cornejo accused Navarro of rape.
Earlier in the afternoon, Navarro went to the Pasig City Prosecutor’s Office accompanied by his legal counsel Atty. Alma Mallonga for the filing of perjury case against the 24-year-old Camanero and at the same time submitted his counter-affidavit on the rape charges filed by Camanero against him three weeks ago.
Navarro was with his younger brother, Fercedan; Moises Manio, producer; and three of his dancers identified as Abner M. Molina, Jason D. Jolloso and Izzan Sabello, who also submitted their counter-affidavits belying the claims made by Cabanero that she was raped on the night of April 24, 2010 inside a hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City.
After submitting his sworn affidavit, Navarro proceeded to the Manila Prosecutor’s office and submitted his complaint-affidavits against respondents Cedric Lee, Deniece Millinette Cornejo, Bernice Lee, Jose Paolo Gregorio A. Calma, and Simeon Palma Raz.
Navarro also filed perjury cases against the respondents in connection with the attempted rape accusations filed against him.
Mallonga said the statements of Cornejo, Lee and other respondents’ on the supposed attempted rape incident clearly contradict each other that are advantageous to his client. (Francis T. Wakefield/Jenny Manongdo)
